Billie Kay Acheson's Obituary
Billie Kay Acheson, age 86, formerly of Corydon, passed away on February 1, 2021 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola. Billie Kay Duncan was born on December 21, 1934 in Lineville, Iowa to Cecil and Kate (Ellis) Duncan. Billie Kay grew up in Lineville and graduated from Lineville High School in 1952. She was a good student and was very proud of being the salutatorian of her class. She was united in marriage to Earl Acheson and to this union four children were born: Carol, Alan, Doris, and Donna. Billie Kay and Earl lived on the century family farm where she quickly transitioned from town to farm life. She was active in the neighborhood; a devoted Christian at the Spring Branch church, which included singing in a quartet at local song fests, a great member of the Needle craft club, and 4H club. She loved caring for the numerous animals, and especially loved her cats. She spent her free time reading and sewing. She enjoyed her family immensely and loved cooking for them; she was an excellent cook. She was always caring and had a positive outlook on life, her smiles and stories could light up a room. She always made time to visit with family and friends. She is survived by her children: Carol Felice, Alan Acheson (Terre), Doris Bethards (Don), Donna Acheson, grandchildren; Jason Felice, Chris Felice (Stephanie), Kristi Lenz (Kevin), Beth Acheson, Kari Acheson, Sarah Davis (Mike), Brad Bethards (Sara), fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Evelyn Duncan, along with numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Acheson, her parents, son-in-law John Felice, grandchildren: Jeremy and Jamie Felice, and infant brother Kirk Duncan. A private family service will be held. Interment will be held at the Allerton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.
