Beverly J. Hopkins' Obituary
Beverly Hopkins, age 83, of Unionville, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Centerville Specialty Care in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Fae and Laura (Spurgeon) Gale on February 19, 1933 near Udell, Iowa. She graduated from the Udell High School in 1951.On October 17, 1953, Beverly was united in marriage to Robert 'Bob' Hopkins in Bloomfield. She worked for many years at Union Carbide/Viskase in Centerville. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, feeding birds and spending time with her family.Beverly was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Bob Hopkins; and brothers, Oren and Robert Gale.She is survived by: sons, William (Cindy) Hopkins of Ottumwa, Iowa and Larry (Sherry) Hopkins of Troy, Iowa; daughters, Deborah (Donnie) Cossolotto and Betty Johnson all of Centerville, Becky (Tim) Endicott of Carrollton, Missouri and Laura (Brian) Brown of Centerville; special daughter, Linda (Glen) Holm of Humeston, Iowa; a sister, Helen Gomis of Johnston, Iowa; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Funeral services at 1 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Centerville with Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial in the Taylor Cemetery east of Unionville, Iowa. Visitation will be Friday from 2 pm till 8 pm the family present from 6 till 8 pm at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.Memorials can be made to Milestone Agency.
