Bettye Artie Rogers' Obituary
Bettye Artie Rogers 85 of Centerville, Iowa, died on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Centerville Nursing& Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of William Logan and Ida (Hannifield) Burke on March 11, 1926 in Fredricksburg, Texas. She graduated from High School in Texas and later would attend the University of Houston to complete her AA Degree.On July 2, 1948, Bettye was united in marriage to Newton J. Rogers. She worked many years in the real estates business as an agent.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Newton Rogers on February 14, 1992; a brother, William Burke, Jr. and a sister, Ida Mae Rankin.Bettye is survived by: her son, Jay Rogers and his wife, Patsy of Centerville, Iowa and a daughter, Genie Lippe and her husband, Pat of League City, Texas; Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.No services are planned at this time, and her body has been creamted.
