Betty B. Yauk's Obituary
Betty Yauk, age 82, of Centerville, Iowa, and a former resident of Moulton, Iowa, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Curtis J. and Ocie M. (Chrisman) Gillispie on November 1, 1930 in Connelsville, Missouri.On July 10, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Steve Yauk in Kirksville, Missouri. She was a homemaker and also a member of the Moulton United Methodist Church. Was a member of the Salvation Army in Davenport, Iowa and the Royal Neighbors in Moulton and Centerville, Iowa She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Steve Yauk on April 11, 1978; brothers, Jim, Merle and John Gillespie; half-brother, Jessie Chrisman; sisters, May Gillispie, Edna Gillispie and Mary McFarland; and a granddaughter-in-law.Betty is survived by: her sons, Gary Lee Yauk and his wife, Patty of Iowa City, Iowa and Curtis Yauk of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Linda Grimm and her husband, George, Jr. of Centerville, Iowa, Patricia Ann Rath of Agency, Iowa and Debra Kay Callen and her husband, Claude, Jr. of Centerville, Iowa; Eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Alan Coonfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 3 pm until 8 pm with the family present from 6 pm unitl 8 pm at the funeral home.
