Betty Watters' Obituary
Betty Watters, age 78 of Centerville died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
She was born April 3, 1925 in Ottumwa, Iowa the daughter of Harry Briggs and Edith Hartley Briggs. She was raised in Ottumwa and attended Ottumwa schools. She married Wayne ""Dick"" Watters June 28, 1947 in Troy, Kansas. She enjoyed camping, fishing and her family.
She is survived by one daughter Vickie Perry and her husband Richard of Centerville, her mother Edith Briggs of Centerville, a brother Richard Briggs and his wife Barbara of Gulf Breeze, FL, a granddaughter Tiffini Foglesong and her husband Scott of Davenport, Iowa, two great grandsons Colton and Carson, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, father Harry Briggs, and sister Donna Cropp, Funeral services will be held 1:30 Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 1 PM until 8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dale Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to Indian Hills Community College.
