Betty Mobley Obituary's Obituary
Betty Mobley, 81 of Seymour, Missouri passed away Sunday, November, 18, 2012 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. Betty was born on June 27, 1931 to William and Iva (Noddings) Gregg in Alliance, Nebraska. Her mother; Iva passed away when Betty was three years old. She and her siblings were raised by her father and grandmother. Betty's younger years were spent helping with the family ice pond where they made ice for the railroad. After grade school she went to Nebraska College of Agriculture at Curtis, NE. and a year at Chadron College in Chadron, NE. On February 18, 1951 Betty married Lloyd Duane Mobley. They would have five children. Most of her life spent farming next to Lloyd. Often you would see Betty help making hay or driving the tractor to feed hay in the freezing cold. After moving to Missouri in 1976 she attended Draughn Business College in Bookkeeping and worked at MFA in Springfield, MO. In her later years she raised dogs with her son Jeff, still in the home. Betty is survived by five children; Linda Phillips(Jay) of Centerville, Iowa, Greg Mobley(Kathy) of Albia, Iowa, Pam Bookout(Bob) of Omaha, Nebraska, Trent Mobley(Joan) of Cincinnati, Iowa, Jeff Mobley of Seymour, Missouri, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Mobley, brother, Gene Gregg and a sister Doris Elder. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.
