Betty Louella Huber's Obituary
Betty Louella Huber, age 91 of Mercer, Missouri, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away, Friday, December 16, 2016 in Princeton, Missouri.
Betty was born on January 8, 1925 in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Inez (Robinson) Strode. She was united in marriage to Richard Phillip Anthony Huber Sr. on October 29, 1957 in Rock Island, Illinois.
She was a homemaker her whole life. She loved Daisies, Betty Boop, Alf, playing bingo and watching game shows. Betty and Richard also managed the Centerville Airport together for nearly ten years after Richard's retirement. Afterwards, they moved to Princeton, Missouri, where they managed the Wagon Wheel Motel until they both fully retired. Upon full retirement, they bought a house in Mercer, Missouri, where they lived for the rest of their lives.
Betty is survived by her children, Richard Huber Jr. (girlfriend Angel Sellers) of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Evert Hayes of Centerville, Iowa; two grandchildren, Anthony (Rachel) Huber of Blue Springs, Missouri and Michael (Amy) Hayes of North Carolina; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Savanah, and Emmerie Ruth Louella Huber of Blue Springs, Missouri; and Kyle and Sean Hayes of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P.A. Huber Sr.; a son, Terry Hayes; and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will take place at 11AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at the Elgin Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 10-11AM. Memorials have been established to the family of Betty L.
