Betty Helleur's Obituary
Betty Helleur, 80 of Centerville, Ia died Monday, August 9, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born on July 12, 1924 in Valisca, Ia to James H. and Geneva Grace (Emerson) Shiffer. She married William H. Helleur Jr. at Alexandria, Louisiana in 1942. Betty worked at Baxter Box and the Continental Hotel in Centerville, Ia, as well as a homemaker most of her life. Betty is survived by son William (III) and wife Lee Helleur of Centerville, and son Dennis and wife Helen Helleur of Cincinatti. Also surviving are brothers James Shiffer of Oakland, Ia and Charles Edward Shiffer of California, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents James and Grace, one sister Janis Palmer and one niece Susan Marie Shiffer. Her body was cremated and there are no services planned at this time.
