Betty Brice's Obituary
Betty Brice, 90, of Centerville passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Golden Age Care Center. Betty was born to John & Bessie (Privett) Goodman in Centerville on May 8, 1925. She was united in marriage to Martin Brice on April 20, 1944. She received her education from Centerville Schools. Throughout her life, Betty was a homemaker. She was the glue that kept the home together while Martin was out making a living. Betty had several hobbies, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning and looking at old pictures. She so loved, reading and getting after her grandkids. Survivors include two children: Linda Brice-O'Hair of Centerville, Jack Brice (Sharon) of Centerville, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Diana Brice-Borkenhagen. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin, son Tom Brice, eight siblings; Jack Goodman, Bill Goodman, Mary Gesualdo, Wanda Morris, LeAnn Thomas, Ruth Gerard, Maxine Cox, Jeraldine Jackson and her parents. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Haines Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home.
