Betty J Brandon's Obituary
Betty Jean Brandon, age 77, of Plano, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
Betty was born on July 14, 1947 in Livonia, Missouri, the daughter of Pearlie and Twila (Cornilson) Barnhart. She was united in marriage to Harold Dean Brandon on May 13, 1966 in Lancaster, Missouri. To this union, two children were born, Tess and David.Betty was very proud of taking care of her home and raising her family. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the casino, puzzles, reading, drinking diet coke and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Betty always put her children first and when she smiled her whole face lit up.
Left to cherish Betty's memory are her husband of 59 years, Harold Dean Brandon; her children, Tess (Chad) Koehn and David Brandon; her grandchildren, Aspen (Josh) Parks, Hunter (Madison) Koehn, and Annie (Eric) Hull; as well as several great grandchildren, Haley (Corey), Cameron, Christian, Faith, Walker and Warren; great, great grandchildren (Madilyn, Makenna and Marley), and extended family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie and Twila Barnhart; and her step-son, Eddie Brandon.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Brushy Cemetery, near Plano, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating.
