Bette J. Ferguson's Obituary
Bette Jean Ferguson (GG), age 82, of Centerville, Iowa passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Bette was born September 23, 1923 the daughter of Virgil and Marie (Blagg) Lindsey in Chillicothe, Missouri. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1941. On September 17, 1944 she married Waverly D. Ferguson, he preceded her in death on September 13, 1988. She was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church, the Beta Signe Phi, Chillicothe Culture Club and Chapter P.E.O. of Breckenridge, Missouri.
Bette is survived by her two children, son Shane (Pat) Ferguson of Fulton, Missouri and daughter Jan (Larry) Christopher of Centerville, Iowa, three grandsons, Brad Davis of Centerville, Eric Ferguson of Lebo, Kansas and John Andy Ferguson of Orem Utah, three granddaughters, Lori Joyner of Mason City, Iowa, Lana Albright of Centerville and Lindsey Ferguson of Mission Kansas, three great granddaughters, seven great grandsons, and a brother, Bill Lindsey and his wife Billie of Branson, Missouri and a special friend Jackie Zemo of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Waverly, her son John Lance Ferguson, her parents, three sisters, Annalou Burns, Pat Burton, Sally Whitacre; brothers Virgil Paul Lindsey, Robert Harold Lindsey, a niece Cindy Place, 2 nephews and one great nephew.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday morning, April 1, 2006 at the Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO. Friends may call Friday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral home, Centerville, Iowa. A memorial has been established to United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, MO, and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th, Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
