Becky Davis' Obituary
Becky Davis, 62 of Allerton passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on May 15, 2018. Rebecca Sue (Everman) Davis was born on November 1, 1955 to Robert "Bob" and Vera Everman in Wayne County, Iowa. She attended school in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne Community High School. She was united in marriage to Lyle Duane Davis on January 5, 1973. To this union, two children were born: Jason and Alicia. Becky spent a majority of her life working at Duane's side on their family farm. She owned and operated Clio County Market in Clio, Iowa. After she and Duane left the farming business, they acquired a restaurant in Unionville, Missouri. After three years, they closed the restaurant and came back to their farm north of Clio. Later, Becky started up her business, Pine Ridge Signs. She was able to utilize her creative talents with vinyl graphics and signs. With the untimely passing of Duane, Becky moved north of Corydon to be close to her father and mother. Becky later opened Cross Creek Productions on the square in Corydon, getting back to doing what she enjoyed in her creative style with designing and screen printing shirts, along with vinyl graphics and signs. With her health declining, she was unable to continue this venture and made the hard decision to move to the Senior Housing in Allerton. Becky enjoyed sewing, painting, playing cards and spending time with her family and beloved Chihuahua, LillyBean. Earlier in her life, she and Duane worked hard but also enjoyed spending time with the many friends they had over the years. Becky will forever be remembered by her family and friends as a fun, loving, ornery, sweet lady that always had a smile and a wisecrack for you. Becky never knew a stranger; many have said from her employment with Conoco that someone would come in and she would have their life story before they left. She will be remembered and missed by many. Becky is survived by her son JD Davis (Chelsy), daughter Alicia Davis, seven grandchildren, mother Vera Everman and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane Davis and her father Bob Everman. Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corydon Cemetery.
