Barbara Jean Miller's Obituary
Barbara Jean Miller age 85, of Centerville passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
Barbara was born on June 14, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Wesley and Goldie (Remer) Davenport. She was united in marriage to Gould "Pete" Miller on March 5, 1962.
Barbara's dream was to have a family of her own. She and Pete had two daughters, Wanda Lee (Miller) Stull and Kelli Susan (Miller) Ollin. The couple moved to rural Moulton, Iowa in 1970, where they had a small farm and every animal you could imagine. She worked at Chamberlain's in Albia for seven years before she moved to Centerville in 1997, where she retired to enjoy life.
Left to cherish Barbara's memory are her daughters, Wanda (Lester) Stull of Centerville and Kelli (the late John) Ollin of Des Moines; her brother, Les (Terry) Davenport of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; as well as several extended family members.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Goldie Davenport; husband, Gould "Pete" Miller and brother, Joel "Wesley" Davenport.
Per Barbara's wishes, cremation has been accorded. There are no scheduled services at this time.
