Barbara Jean Channell's Obituary
Barbara Jean (Robb) Channell, age 73 of rural Moravia, Iowa passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
Barbara was born in Ames, Iowa on October 17, 1947, the daughter of Thomas "Tom" and Ella Jean (Woodward) Robb. Following her high school education, Barbara received her B.A. in History from Iowa State University.
Left to honor Barbaras memory include her mother, Ella Jean Robb; her loving husband of nearly forty-seven years, Robert Channell of Moravia, Iowa; two children, Rob Channell and Michelle (Jeff) Albers; five grandchildren, Alix (Adam) Montgomery, McKenna Channell, Anna Channell, Michael Daramus, and Amanda Byal; two great grandchildren, Avynn and Rhodes Montgomery; as well as two siblings, Dr. Alan (Wendy) Robb and Melissa Robb.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Tom Robb.
According to family wishes, cremation has been accorded. Private services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Heartland Humane Society of Ottumwa, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
