Barbara A. Brandt's Obituary
Barbara A. Brandt, age 79, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Centerville Specialty Care.
She was born on August 5, 1939 in Brazil, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Pauline (Polich) Kuchan. Barbara graduated from Centerville High School. She continued her education, completing the ARC Welding course at Indian Hills Community College in Centerville in the winter of 1980-1981.
Following high school graduation, she relocated to the Quad Cities, where she would remain for much of her adult life. Eventually, Barbara moved back to the Centerville area to care for her sick mother.
As a Centerville resident, Barbara cleaned for several local entities, including Job Service, Milanis Law Office, and Indian Hills Community College.
Arts and crafts were her most notable hobbies. Moreover, Barbaras family members have in their possession many of the items created through her crafting abilities.
Barbara is survived by her son, Glen Brandt; and several cousins, including Beverly Tosone of Centerville, Iowa, Jim Buban of Centerville, Iowa, and Bill Buban of Centerville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol; and her cousin, Roberta Buban.
According to Barbaras wishes, cremation has been accorded. There are no scheduled services at this time and inurnment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. An open memorial in Barbaras name has been established and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
