Audrey Davis' Obituary
Audrey Colleen Davis, age 84, of West Des Moines, Iowa and a former resident of Moulton, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Cecil and Ona (Harrington) Decker on February 27, 1928 in Percy, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton High School in 1946. On May 11, 1947, Audrey was united in marriage to James Davis in Moulton, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, James Davis on July 13, 1991; and a sister, Viola Masters Audrey is survived by: her sons, Jack Davis and his wife, Regina of St. Joseph, Missouri and James Davis and his wife, Jolene of Harlan, Iowa; a daughter, Connie Mincy of West Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Brad Davis and his wife, Marysabelle of Norwalk, Iowa, Stuart Mincy and his wife, Angela of Des Moines, Iowa, Cory Davis of Chicago, Illinois, Andrea Norris and her husband, Ryan of Des Plaines, Illinois, Jessica Bortello and her husband, Joe of Baxter, Iowa and Jonathon Davis of West Des Moines, Iowa; great grandchildren, Arianna and Tyler Davis of Norwalk, Iowa, Hannah, Shelby and Madison Mincy of Des Moines, Iowa and Payton Norris of Des Plaines, Illinois; sisters, Opal Welch of Blakesburg, Iowa, Betty Anselme of Ottuwma, Iowa, Wilma Ryan of Brighton, Colorado, Barbara Vestal of Unionville, Missouri and Mary Davis of Ottumwa, Iowa. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11 am at the Hardin Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial to follow. Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of services at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa.
