ARNETT EVITT's Obituary
ARNETT L. EVITT Arnett L. Evitt, daughter of Zayla Rae and Grace (Lantz) Murray, was born June 30, 1917 at Cedar Falls, Iowa and passed away at the Pleasant Care Living Center in Pleasantville, Iowa on March 5, 2010. She was united in marriage to Phillip Evitt on October 22, 1939. Two daughters were born to this union. Arnett lived a short time in Canada, but considered herself a life time resident of Wayne County. She was a member of the Jolly Neighborhood Club and the Federated Garden Club. She also volunteered at the Prairie Trails Museum and was a member of the Corydon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Phillip, sisters Mildred Marks, Betty McNeil, Wilma Grismore and brother Roger Murray. Survivors include her daughters Judith McMurry and husband Gary of Knoxville and Phyllis McCann of Cumming, grandchildren Dianne Danner and husband Jeff, Melissa Poffenbarger and husband Bryan all of Knoxville, Michael Fry and wife Dawn of Osceola, Scott Fry and wife Brandi of Leon, eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
