Arah McKinley, 90 of Centerville passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Arah was born December 21, 1919 to Homer & Marie (Torrey) Cowger in Lucerne, Missouri. She married Jay McKinley on December 8, 1945. She was a homemaker most of her life after working for a brief time at Remington Arms in Denver, Colorado. Arah was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Centerville. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching, her church family and time spent with her family and friends. Arah is survived by two children; Tom McKinley of Centerville, Karen Seeley(Curtis) of Centerville, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Mildred Bretthauer of Centerville and a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay McKinley on August 6, 1975, two brothers, Dean and Don Cowger, sister, Anna Lee Cowger and a grandson Jarren McKinley. A Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, Missouri.
