Anne K. Malmberg's Obituary
Anne K. Malmberg, 66, of West Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Ramsey Village in Des Moines, Iowa after a long illness. She was born on January 19, 1949, in Centerville, Iowa, to Robert and Kathryn Malmberg. Anne was a graduate of Centerville High School, Class of 1967, and attended Christian College, Truman University and the AIB College of Business where she earned a Business Management Degree.Anne was an accomplished Administrative Assistant known for her attention to detail, organizational and technical skills and the ability to multi-task to get projects done accurately and on time. During her career she was employed by various companies including Amoco Motor Company, Des Moines University, ITS, Inc., and the National Pork Board. She retired in 2011 from Des Moines Stamp Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church, TTT and Chapter MA of PEO.Her many hobbies included horseback riding, family picnics, boating on Lake Rathbun, music, theatre, jewelry making, knitting, stamping, reading, travel and a great love for animals. To many of her family and friends she was known as 'The Fixer.' She was able to repair or diagnose many technical problems around the house or office. Anne was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, John A. Toth.She is survived by her sister, Sue Malmberg, of Shorewood, Illinois and many cousins. Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Friday, January 8, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. The family will greet friends one hour before services at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Centerville, Iowa, 410 North Main.
