Anna L. Curtis' Obituary
Anna L. Curtis, age 90, of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Clinton Care & Rehab Center in Plattsburg, Missouri. She was born the daughter of William and Pearl (Caldwell) Miller on May 5, 1917 in Downing, Missouri. She graduated from the Downing Community Schools.On August 27, 1939, Anna was united in marriage to Forrest Curtis in Greentop, Missouri. She was a sales clerk at the JC Penney Store in Centerville, Iowa for over 25 years. She was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, TTT, PEO, Hospital Auxiliary and the Centerville Women's Club.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Forrest Curtis on February 14, 2005; two brothers, Leo and Fred Miller and two sisters, Neva Miller and Lavon Herron.Anna is survived by: her daughter, Judith Smart of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Emma Jean Davidson and Cleta Miller both of Kirksville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Marti Jones and Mark Smart both of Kansas City, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Kirk Hoerrmann, Cassie Sinclair, Daniel Sinclair, Tyler Ann Grace Jones all of Kansas City, Missouri and Stethan Smart of Osage Beach, Missouri; one great great granddaughter, Chelsy Myer of Plattsburg, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Downing Cemetery near Downing, Missouri. Visitation will be from 9 am till the time of services on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.Memorials can be made to Drake Avenue Christian Church and can be left at the funeral home.
