Ann G. Fullart's Obituary
Ann G. Fullhart, age 93, of Centerville, Iowa, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center - Long Term Care in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Carroll C., Sr. and Heath B. (Gathright) Gathright in Goochland, Virginia. After graduating from High School, Ann attended and graduated from Richmond Business College in Richmond, Virginia.Ann served her country during WWII with the Women's Army Corps and was honorably discharged on September 4, 1943. On January 18, 1944 Ann was united in marriage to Jim Huffman in Richmond, Virginia, they were divorced in 1956; later she was married to Marion Fullhart on January 22, 1977 in Denver, Colorado. She worked for a time at the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond, Virginia, also the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in the Security Division. After moving to Centerville, Iowa she was employed by Iowa Southern Utilities from 1955 to 1961. Ann then moved to Des Moines, Iowa and began working for Iowa State Education Association. Upon moving to Denver, Colorado, she worked in the Administration Offices of Denver Public Schools. She moved back to Centerville, Iowa in 2002. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Centerville.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Marion Fullhart on October 5, 1999; brothers, Conway, William, and John Gathright; a sister, Louise Lea.Ann is survived by: her daughter, Judy Kauzlarich and her husband Jerry of Centerville, Iowa; brother, Ellis Gathright of Richmond, Virginia; sisters, Judith Cooke and Dorothy Gathright of Richmond, Virginia.Graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 1 pm at Haines Cemetery north of Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow the service at the cemetery.
