Allie Lucille McIntosh was born June 3, 1917, on the family farm northwest of Lineville, Iowa to Robert C. and Nellie L. (Bryan) McIntosh. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 27, 2010 at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton, Iowa. Allie grew up in Lineville and graduated from Lineville High School in 1935. On December 4, 1938, in Unionville, Mo., Allie married Robert Leazer of Corydon. To this union two daughters were born, Sharon Sue and JoBeth. Allie lived most of her life in Corydon, Iowa except for living in Santa Ana, CA for five years and living the last two years in Chariton, Iowa. Allie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Corydon and belonged to Ruth Circle. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge and served as Noble Grand and she also belonged to the Eden Garden Club. Allie's favorite things were her family, friends, cooking, gardening, playing pitch, walking, camping, fishing and her flower gardens. She will always be remembered by her family for her beef and noodles, pies, coleslaw, wilted lettuce and pickled beets. She loved people, especially children and always had a kind word to say about everyone. Allie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was the backbone of her family. Allie left this world knowing that she had a good life, because she loved and has been loved, and had so many blessings on this earth.
