Allen C. Morlan's Obituary
Allen C. Morlan, age 69 of Moulton, Iowa died on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born the son of Curtis and Mary (Dennis) Morlan on February 28, 1940 in Gorin, Missouri. He graduated from the Moulton Community Schools in 1958.On May 6, 1966, Allen was united in marriage to Phyllis Brinegar in Moulton, Iowa. He worked for several years in the Gas Department for the City of Moulton and later would work over 26 years for the Farmers Mutual Phone Company as a service man.He is preceded in death by: his parents; and brothers, Wendal and Fairel Morlan.Allen is survived by: his wife, Phyllis Morlan of Moulton, Iowa; a son, Greg Morlan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers, Mike Morlan of Moberly, Missouri and Ron Morlan of Wever, Iowa; sisters, Estle Ann Sawvell of Dubuque, Iowa and Rose Mary Morlan of Des Moines, Iowa.Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reg Higginbottom officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton. Visitation will be open on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 2 pm till 7 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton. The family will be present from 10 am till the time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.A memorial has been set to the First Responder of Moulton and can be left at the funeral home.
