Alice M. Stepnowski's Obituary
Alice Stepnowski, age 72 of Centerville, IA died Monday August 21, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
Alice was born July 11, 1934, the daughter of Boyd and Mary (Baker) Wright in Cincinnati, Iowa. She graduated from Cincinnati High School. After high school she worked for several shops on the square, Iowa Southern Utilities, and the Lakeshore Development Company. Alice married Frank Stepnowski on February 14, 1957 in Princeton, MO. While married, Alice prided herself on being the best housewife and mother she could be. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1997. Alice was an active member in the Drake Avenue Christian Church. She loved watching football, Nascar and spending time with her family. Alice stayed busy tending to her flowers and keeping a ""spot free"" home.
Alice is survived by one daughter Cathy Howard of Des Moines, one son, Michael Stepnowski of Centerville, Iowa; four grandchildren; Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Lita May Howard all of Des Moines, Iowa and Sarah Flower of Sacramento, California, and one great grandchild; Abby Howard of Des Moines.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Susan Flower; and one son, Mark Stepnowski.
A Graveside service will be held 10 AM Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa with Pastor Carl Heien officiating. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S.18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
