Alice Ann Powers' Obituary
Alice Ann Powers, age 68, of Centerville, Iowa, died Monday, August 7, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of George Washington and Prude (Roberts) Graves on March 22, 1938 at the Vic Mining Camp near Pennington, Virginia. She received her education in a Pennington Community School.On December 12, 1950, Alice was united in marriage to Walter Powers, Jr. in Rockwood, TN. She was a homemaker and for a time was a member of the Dale Church in Centerville.She was preceded in death by: her parents.Alice is survived by: her husband, Walter Powers, Jr. of Centerville, Iowa; sons, Mitchell G. Powers, Rickey Powers, Clint and his wife, Joy Powers, Micheal L. Powers all of Centerville, Danny Powers of Clarinda, Iowa; daughters, Linda and her husband, Bruce Clinkenbeard of Udell, Iowa, Rebecca and her husband, Don Parcel of Seymour, Iowa and Debbie and her husband, John Woodyard of Plano, Iowa; brothers, Jessie Glenn Graves and Johnny Woodard both of Virginia; sisters, Geraldine Woodard, Ethel Woodard and Jannie Graves all of Virginia; grandchildren, Kevin Powers, Sheena Sibert, Conan Clinkenbeard, Jeremiah Clinkenbeard, James Clinkenbeard, Johanna Clinkenbeard, Jewell Martin, Ashley Parcel, Aaron Parcel, Stacey Woodyard, Kimberly Woodyard, Alisha Woodyard, Johnny Woodyard; great grandchildren, D.J. Clinkenbeard, Christina Clinkenbeard, Joseph Clinkenbeard, Serena Clinkenbeard, Landon Clinkenbeard, 'Boogie' Clinkenbeard, and Latisha Mason.Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 11 am at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville with Gerald Campbell officiating with burial to follow.
