Alice Horn's Obituary
Alice Horn, age 87, of Centerville, IA, died Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, IA. She was born the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Forsythe) Oliver on February 23, 1916, near Exline, Iowa. She graduated from the Moravia Community School in 1935.On November 18, 1944, Alice was united in marriage to Clarence L. Horn in Moulton, Iowa. They owned and operated the Horn Insurance Agency in Moulton, Iowa, for over 35 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa, for many years.Alice was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Clarence Horn on May 21, 1992; brothers, Bill and Lawrence Oliver; sisters, Enid Wallace and Alta Adams.She is survived by: step-sons, Joe Horn and his wife, Cathlene of Centerville, Iowa and Dwain Horn and his wife, Vera of Omaha, Nebraska; step-daughter, Nancy Hancock and her husband, Ron of Prescott, Arizona; sisters, Emma L. Cole and Ada Bailey both of Centerville, Iowa; 8 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren and 2 step great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 1 pm at the Solid Rock Church of God in Centerville, Iowa, with Pastor Kristopher J. Wattelet officiating. Burial will follow in the Exline Cemetery at Exline, Iowa.
