Al Hirman Clark's Obituary
Alan H. Clark, age 63 of Rathbun, Iowa died Saturday May 19, 2007 at his home.
Al was born November 9, 1943, the son of Walter and Earthel (Corporan) Clark in Centerville, Iowa. He married Susan Jane Bell on September 30, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping and wood-working. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He was employed by Oscar Mayer's for 30 years and was a member of the Local 431 Oscar Meyer Union.
Al is survived by his wife, Sue of Rathbun, Iowa; four children, Christine (Rick) Gosney of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Brad (Cindy) Clark of Aurora, Illinois, Lisa (Allen) Hultgren of Milan, Illinois, and Adam Clark of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Rick Clark, Josh Woodworth, Christy Clark, Jordan Gosney, Lucas Gosney, Heather Clark, Callie Gosney, and Allissa Hultgren; great-grandchildren, Carter Stone, Riley Woodworth, and Skyler Stone, siblings, Patty (Wayne) McDanel of Moravia, Iowa, Ernie Clark of Centerville, Iowa, and Bill (Gladys) Clark of Exline, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Betty Clark of Davenport, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Walter (Tuffy) Clark, Walton Clark, Donald Clark, and Carolyn Clark, and a daughter, Julie Clark.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday morning with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Friends may call all day Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
