Aileen Belle Charles' Obituary
Aileen Belle Charles, age 83 of Mystic, Iowa died Tuesday, June12, 2007 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab.
Aileen was born May 25, 1924, the daughter of David and Wilma (Sager) Lewis in Ottumwa, Iowa. She graduated from Mystic High School. She married Fernand Charles on July 25, 1953. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2007. Aileen worked at the Coca Cola bottling plant in Centerville for several years and then was a Post-Master in Mystic for 31 years. She loved to quilt and do needle work.
Aileen is survived by her son, Dennis (Ramona) Lewis of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Melissa Nuss of Lincoln, Nebraska and Clay Lewis of Tuscon, Arizona; one great grandson, Landon Nuss; and a brother Eugene (Barney) Lewis of Mystic, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernand; and her parents, David and Wilma.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. There will be a luncheon following the burial service at the Mystic Community Center. A visitation will be held all day Thursday with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Highland Cemetery Association and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
