Adeline Kratofil's Obituary
Adeline Kratofil, 83, of Mystic passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Adeline was born to Frank & Mary (Dusik) Formas in Chicago, Illinois, on June 23, 1931. She received her education from Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Illinois, graduating in 1949. Adeline was united in marriage to George Kratofil. To this union came three children: Sonny, Mark and Karen. Adeline and George spent the majority of their life owning and operating the Pale Moon. Adeline was very visible in the restaurant. She was always around to greet you with a smile and story as you walked in to the dining room. Adeline enjoyed cooking, teaching people how to cook, caring for people, socializing and talking about her grandchildren, the Pale Moon gave her a forum to display her interests and talents. Survivors include her daughter, Karen King of Mystic, five grandchildren: Kaysie McSweeney (Dennis) of Centerville, Justin Kratofil (Mendy Sebolt) of Centerville, Sunny Kratofil-Dommer (Jason Raskie) of Numa, Jake Kratofil of Centerville, Josh Kratofil (Danielle) of Mystic; 13 great grandchildren: Dylan, Samantha, Dawson, Summer, Brittney, Jazmine, Zachary, Colton, Brayden, Tralyn, Cory, Kinzer, Levi, daughter-in-law, Sheila Hawk-Foster, five siblings: Ann Murphy of Chicago, IL, Frank Formas of Chicago, IL, Fred Formas of Chicago, IL, Ed Formas of Chicago, IL and Carl Formas of Corbin, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, two sons: Sonny Kratofil and Mark Kratofil, grandchildren: George McCloud, Joe McCloud, great grandson, Qwinen Kratofil and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cutty and Vancy Barbaglia. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m. with Kay Singley officiating. Interment will take place privately at Oakland Cemetery.
