Addisyn Jessie Ewing's Obituary
Addisyn Jessie Ewing, 3 of Cincinnati passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Iowa City. Addisyn was born to Brad & Amanda (Bassett) Ewing on July 22, 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Addisyn was an angel on earth, she was the ray of sunshine in everyone's life. Addisyn shared a smile that was infectious to everyone she met. She had a true passion for animals. She loved her time outside, in the barn with her cattle, her dogs, Duke and Lulu, and her beloved cats Mimi, Simba and many others. Addisyn was the modern day Disney Princess, all animals loved her.
Visiting her Great Grandma's beach house in Cayucos was one of her favorite places. She loved everything involving water, especially the ocean. She enjoyed walking on the beach, playing in the sand, collecting shells and dancing in the ocean with her mom. If Addisyn was not dancing on the beach, she was dancing and smiling to the Baby Shark Song. Just like her smile, Addisyn's dancing was contagious, filling the room with joy.
Addisyn also loved helping her dad with the cattle. She started each morning enjoying a "cup of coffee" with her dad. She was the farm "mini boss" and tagged along when Brad drove tractor, fed cattle, and prepared cattle for shows. Addisyn could be found helping walk cattle out of the barn and washing them before a show. Her favorite toy was a plush cow that she took to all of the cattle shows. She was a favorite around the cattle shows and loved by everyone in and around the showring.
Addisyn's infectious smile and radiant personality will live on in everyone's life. Her ray of sunshine has forever brightened every life she touched.
Survivors include her parents, Brad & Amanda, grandparents: Gary & Diana Ewing, Alan & Deanna Bassett, great grandparents: Larry & Joann Ewing and Helen Brown, aunt Callie Bassett and uncle & aunt Brent & Katie Ewing. She is also survived by numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Volney Brown, Robert & Carol Bassett, Don Rogers and Marlene Ruhl.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will take place immediately following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home from 1-7:00 pm with family present from 5-7:00 pm. Memorials may be given to Stead Family Childrens Hospital and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
