Audrey Couchman's Obituary
Audrey Couchman, 95, of Allerton passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center.
Audrey was born in Millerton to Roy & Elsie (Reuter) Gillman on February 2, 1920. She married Dale Couchman; he preceded her in death on March 20, 2000.
Audrey owned and operated her beauty shop for over 50 years in her home on Highway 65. She enjoyed gardening, fishing trips to Minnesota, camping at the State Fair, family vacations, memories of playing on the Millerton Basketball Team and sharing times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons: Roger Couchman (Mary) of Allerton, Alan Couchman (Marilyn) of Allerton, five grandchildren: Kristi Walmsley (Tom) of Bondurant, Ia, Tim Couchman of Allerton, Tina Sulser (Jared) of Lineville, Eric Couchman (Jen) of Humeston, Aaron Couchman (Laura) of Lineville, six great grandchildren, sister, Hildreth Wensel of Knoxville, brother, Dwight Gillman of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and two brothers: Marvin and R.G. Gillman.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Corydon Cemetery with Pastor Diane Olson Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 1-2 p.m. at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon. Memorials may be given to her family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasrandolphfh.com.
